Between spending countless nights in the worlds best resort lodging while shooting ski films and working for more than a decade in hotel management, ski resort marketing and ski industry promotions, Rob DesLauriers learned a thing or two about resort accommodations. It wasnt, however, until he spent time on the slopes at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort that DesLauriers found the perfect place to put all that industry knowledge to use.

After skiing in Jackson Hole, he knew there was something missing. The mountain was undeniably world class, but DesLauriers thought it lacked the kind of lodging hed want himself slopeside accommodations bridging the gap between the high-quality services and amenities of a luxury hotel and the convenience and home-away-from-home feel of a condominium suite. Upon this realization, DesLauriers began pursuing a dream creating the kind of accommodations hed want in the place he saw as the best ski and summer mountain destination anywhere. So began the plan for what is now Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa.

DesLauriers who is known for helping coordinate and teach the international Extreme Team Advanced Ski Clinics, starring in more than 25 ski films, and co-authoring the 2002 book Ski the Whole Mountain drew heavily on his ski and lodging industry experience to create a resort tailored to outdoor enthusiasts. Along with his outdoor experience, he also hold a degree from the Cornell Hotel School and worked as general manager of Vermonts Bolton Valley Ski Resort.

Central to the Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa experience is the propertys combination of 79 condominiums that can be broken into 128 hotel rooms and other types of units, which creates flexibility for different kinds of guests. Whether guests want a luxury hotel room, a junior suite with extra space for couches and a fireplace, or a multi-bedroom unit with a full kitchen and living area, Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa can accommodate a wide range of needs, from couples to families to groups of friends.

Also key to the Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa experience is the ability to offer all the luxury touches found in a four-star class hotel fine dining, a full spa, a fitness area, a concierge desk and room service without the stuffiness found at many high-end properties.

Completed in the fall of 2002, Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa is modeled after a classic western national park lodge. The building features rustic styling, including fine furnishings, stone fireplaces, granite countertops, hardwood floors and in-room whirlpool tubs.

Just out the door, guests are within walking distance of all the best outdoor activities Jackson Hole has to offer less than a mile from world-famous Grand Teton National Park and slopeside at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the ski area with the largest continuous vertical drop in the country. Summer activities in and around Teton Village include hiking, wildlife watching, horseback riding, mountain biking, and climbing. And in the summer, the aerial tram whisks hikers 4,139 vertical feet for alpine access into Grand Teton National Park and the Bridger-Teton National Forest. Driving just a few miles offers access to many other activities, including fly fishing or river rafting on the Snake River as well as golf and tennis. Yellowstone National Park is an hour to the north.
