TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. (Dec. 10, 2003) Readers of Cond Nast Traveler Magazine rate the year-old Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa as Jackson Holes best hotel for ski vacations.
In the magazines December issue, a readers poll ranks the 50 best hotels located at North American ski areas. Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa, which opened in October 2002, tops all three other Jackson Hole properties that made the list, including Amangani.
Were thrilled to be rated so highly in our first year by the readers of a leading travel publication like Cond Nast Traveler, said Rob DesLauriers, co-developer of Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa. It represents the fulfillment of our ultimate vision for the Lodge ideal location, a beautiful facility, personalized service and, most importantly, very happy guests."
In the readers poll, nearly 1,500 readers were asked by an independent research firm to evaluate 187 hotels that are located at ski resorts throughout North America. Individual properties were assessed in three categories: accommodations, food, and service. Properties were also weighed according to their surrounding amenities in three other categories: terrain and conditions, lifts and lines, and town ambiance. Properties located near the same ski area received the same rankings in the latter three categories. Of particular note is the fact that the Lodge was ranked 10th overall in the accommodations category and 12th overall in the food category.
Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa was ranked as number 23 on the top 50 list. The other Jackson Hole properties that made the list included Amangani, Spring Creek Ranch and the Wort Hotel, ranked numbers 24, 34 and 47, respectively.
Completed in late 2002, Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa is a full-service hotel offering luxury rooms and condominium suites all located slopeside at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
