TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. (Aug. 23, 2007) – Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa in Jackson Hole hired Jared Painter as Executive Chef at its signature restaurant, Cascade Grill House & Spirits, effective immediately.

A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts who was nominated for Best New Chef of the Year in Utah, Painter plans to build upon the New Western theme at Cascade Grill House by adding worldwide influences and ingredients into the mix. His goal is to yield traditional cuisine prepared in creative, flavorful ways using the highest quality ingredients.

Painter's most recent posts include jobs as executive sous chef at the Grand America, Salt Lake City's only AAA 5-diamond hotel, and executive chef at HIP Enterprises, where he oversaw six restaurant openings and staffed up to 48-person kitchen teams. It was at the Grand America that Painter was nominated for Utah's Best New Chef of the Year.

Early in his career, Painter also worked as an apprentice with Chef David Keller at the Mandalay Bay and Chef Julian Serrano at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Prior to the winter season, Painter will oversee a complete menu overhaul at Cascade Grill House & Spirits. He will also update the menu seasonally. Fare at Cascade spans the range from beef and wild game to seafood, poultry and vegetarian dishes. The setting at the 105-seat restaurant features a comfortable yet upscale atmosphere with views of the Gros Ventre Mountain Range across the valley. Cascade Grill House & Spirits is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and also provides room service to Lodge rooms.

Painter joins the Lodge at the same time it is making another $7 million investment in ensuring an exceptional guest experience. In July, the property opened a new, state-of-the-art spa and fitness center. The new Solitude Spa at Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa offers 16,000-square-feet of space with 10 treatment rooms, a rooftop yoga/motion studio, a 24-person rooftop hot tub, and an extensive fitness center. As well, a new wing of 17 rooms increases the Lodge's capacity to 145 guest rooms. Along with the new Solitude Spa, the Lodge has unveiled an extensive new spa menu with a wide range of new treatments.
