It is definitely Christmas time in Teton Village, Wyoming. Take a quick stroll along the winding paths at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and you’ll feel the festive cheer. The Village glitters at night with holiday lights and the atmosphere is fantastic! Teton Mountain Lodge is the perfect place for families to stay during a Christmas-time trip to Jackson Hole. The slopes are just steps from the Teton Mountain Lodge doors, and the conditions this year are as good as any December we can remember. Plus, there are a handful of holiday events in Teton Village tailored to families. Here are a few handpicked events happening during the holidays that we think families will love:

December 21st

Caroling with Cathedral Voices, Teton Village Commons (4:00-4:45 pm)

Lyrics to the holiday classics will be provided just in case you’re compelled to sing along! Free hot drinks and cookies provided by the Bank of Jackson Hole.

Santa’s Arrival in Teton Village (4:45-5:30 pm)

As if riding on a sleigh pulled by reindeer wasn’t cool enough, Santa is slated to make a grand entrance into Teton Village—the old guy is going to repel into the village from the JHMR tram! Kids will love greeting Santa in Teton Village as he slides down from above. Santa Claus will be meeting the children outside the Deck of the Teton Club after his spectacular arrival!

Santa Letter Writing Workshop followed by visit with Cowboy Santa (4:00-6:00 pm)

4:00 pm Letter Writing at Terra Café, Hotel Terra

Helpers and supplies will be on-hand for the kids in need of writing a last-minute letter to Santa. After penning the perfect wish list, kids can personally deliver their letter directly to Santa because he’ll be visiting at 5 pm. Cowboy Santa will set up shop by the fire in the Teton Mountain Lodge lobby. Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided.

December 24th

T’was the Night before Christmas Reading, and other stories, Fireside, Teton Mountain Lodge Lobby (4:00 pm)

Lea Thompson, retired Chief Correspondent for NBC News and Dateline, will read this classic Christmas story as well as other favorites. Come gather around the Christmas tree. Hot chocolate will be served.

Catholic Mass at the Cottonwood Ballroom, Four Seasons Resort (5:00 pm)

Interdenominational Service, Murie Ballroom, Hotel Terra (5:30 pm)

Join Rev. Paul Hayden for an interdenominational service on Christmas Eve in the East Wing at Hotel Terra.

December 25th

Ski with Santa on Christmas Day (1:00 pm)

After a busy night, Santa will be relaxing at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort by schussing around. Everyone is invited to meet Santa for a few runs on Teewinot! He’ll be at the bottom of the lift at 1 pm, or keep an eye out for him on Teewinot!

December 26th

Winter Scavenger Hunt and Sledding, Teton Village Commons (11:00 am-12:30 pm)

Kids ages 5 and up are invited to participate in a winter scavenger hunt and sledding party in the Teton Village Commons area.

December 28th

Kid’s Night Out at the JHMR Kid’s Ranch (6:00-9:00 pm)

Kid’s Night out offers evening activities and dinner for children ages 4 to 18 in a supervised environment that promotes peer interaction and pure fun. Evening activities include indoor games, movies, sledding, and more! Reservations are required and must be made by 1 pm on the date of Kid’s Night Out.
