Laurie Thal Glass, Hand Blown Glass Art

Besides hitting the mountain to ski and ride, there are many other delights that await those who find themselves around Jackson Hole this time of year. The key to truly taking advantage of your time here is to enjoy the traditional activities, but also to think outside the box (or the mountain).

A perfect example? Glass blowing in Laurie Thal’s studio.

This winter, world-renowned glass artist Laurie Thal is opening her studio to visitors and locals who would like to try their hand at creating their very own hand-blown glass ornaments. Not only is it a unique opportunity, but it could even help you in the gift-giving department as well!

Grab your family or a few friends, bring your favorite snacks and beverages and make it a night with personal instruction and one-on-one interaction with Jackson’s very own glass artist.

For more information, contact Laurie directly at thalglass@bresnan.net.

About Laurie Thal:
Laurie’s work is exhibited and collected internationally. Her collaborative pieces with Lia Kass have been selected for the elite Governor’s Capitol Art Exhibition. In 2009, President Barack Obama presented the Thal-Kass vase “Peacock” to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India. Visit her website here.
