Fall is legendary for fly fishing in Jackson Hole. Whether a seasoned angler or a novice, you’ll be dazzled by the scenery as you float on the clear waters of the Snake River along the dramatic Tetons. […]
Fall has arrived and brought with it the crisp autumn air, the burning yellow, red and orange leaves, the first snow on the high peaks of the Tetons. As the days get shorter and the temperatures drop, what better way to celebrate a day of adventuring in the outdoors than by treating yourself to a cocktail at Spur’s firelit restaurant and bar? What if, while treating yourself, you were also contributing to a life-changing cause?
Well, this month the Teton Lodge and Spur Restaurant and Bar will be partnering with the St. John’s Hospital Foundation Women’s Health Care Fund in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Started in 1985, Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual campaign led by major breast cancer charities during the month of October to raise money for research into the cause, prevention and cure of breast cancer. During the month of October, Spur will be serving up a specialty cocktail, Beet Cancer, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Two dollars from each drink will go directly to the St. John’s Hospital Foundation in Jackson, WY.
Here’s what makes up this delectable (and life-saving) drink:
- Beet ginger infused gin
- St. Germaine elderflower liqueur
- Lemon juice
- House made ginger syrup
- 1 egg white
- Shaken and served up
Sound good? Then head over to Spur and make a worthwhile contribution at one of the best hotels in Jackson. While you’re there, be sure to savor the delicious mountain-style cuisine prepared by one of Jackson’s best chefs, five-time Best Executive Chef winner, Kevin Humphrey.
